These are some of the bands that pioneered or continue to pioneer the Funeral Doom Metal genre (extreme branch of Death/Doom).
Ahab is recent band, as well as Abyssmal Sorrow, but their style is somewhat different from the rest of the bands around. Skepticism are the second fathers of the genre, while Thergothon are considered the real pioneers (and pretty kvlt too, having released just an album and a demo). Then we have Nortt, a Black/Doom solo project, and Evoken, a band that stays between Funeral Doom and Death/Doom.
Enjoy the video!
