"I would request that my body in death be buried, not cremated so that the energy content contained within it gets returned to the earth, so that flora and fauna can dine upon it just as I've dined upon flora and fauna throughout my life." TURN DOWN FOR WHAT!!!!!!

My conclusion from this: great minds capable of saving the human race are pathetically outnumbered by the blunt force of people without just the tiniest bit of curiosity needed to keep us going to the point of answering most of these questions. We will be like a blink in the galaxy where other intelligent species are blinking in and out of existence. It's almost hopeless. If you think I'm a 'fag', or a 'nerd', or a 'freak' for saying this, or you think I'm 'damned to hell', congratulations. You're exactly the people I'm talking about. You will hold us back inside the category of animals who are completely helpless to disease, natural disaster, and total annihilation by ourselves.
