The Philadelphia Police Department's Northwest Detectives Division is looking to identify the suspect who robbed an 18 year-old female in Ogontz.

On February 10, 2014, at 4:00pm, as the complainant was walking east on the 2100 block of Chelten Avenue she was being followed by an unknown male. As the complainant was walking the suspect passed her then slowed his pace. When the complainant attempted to walk past the suspect he grabbed attempted to grab her bag from her left shoulder. When she began to struggle with the suspect and knocked to the ground, the suspect was able to take the bag from the complainant. The suspect then fled the area on foot and was last seen west on the 2100 block of Chelten Avenue the north on the 6400 block of Norwood Street. Video surveillance was recovered captured the suspect in a store with the complainant prior to the robbery.

Suspect Description: Black male, mid 30 to early 40 years-of-age, dark complected, 5'8″, 200 lbs., scruffy beard, wearing a black skull cap, blue hooded sweatshirt with "Giants" on the back, ash black colored jeans, black/white gloves, and boots.
