Hundreds of Kids are ready to go back to school thanks to the community B2SB this weekend.

Kids got a new backpack filled with school supplies and volunteers were there from area churches, businesses, and various groups who teamed together to give out free haircuts, dental screenings, manicures, and sports physicals and more.

Over 550 kids pre-registered for the event and B2SB volunteers expected that number to double.

"We thought this was important because this year it costs about $600 for each family to go back to school, and quite honestly they just don't have it," notes Pastor Jack Ward of Lake Hill Church. "So as a community we are doing all we can. Its just an amazing what can be accomplished when we work together."

This year's Back 2 School Bash volunteers estimated they were giving away $60,000 to $80,000 worth of goods and services donated from the community.

Plans are to host another B2SB next year.
