"Fool's Overture is one of my favorite pieces that I've ever written. It was very magical the way it came together. It was actually three separate pieces of music that I had for a few years and then, one day, they kind of all slotted together in what I think is a magnificent, kind of epic piece of music. I always imagined performing it with an orchestra, so when I did start playing with orchestras back in the '90s, it was such a thrill to play this song. I still get goosebumps to his day every time I get an opportunity perform it with an orchestra." ~Roger Hodgson
Roger Hodgson, co-founder of Supertramp, is the singer/songwriter of this masterpiece, Fool's Overture. Roger, one of the greatest writers and composers of our time, originally had three separate pieces of music that one day magically came together and became this treasure. This performance is from Rotterdam, Night of the Proms 1995.
Roger gave us Dreamer, The Logical Song, Give a Little Bit, Breakfast in America, School, Hide in Your Shell, It's Raining Again, Take the Long Way Home and many more. Although Roger and Supertramp's other co-founder shared writing credit, they actually wrote and composed separately with each singing their own respective songs http://bit.ly/1Kfgu0W Visit http://www.RogerHodgson.com or http://www.facebook.com/RogerHodgson.

"To the adoring fans who rise to their feet as Hodgson and his four-piece backing band take the stage ... it might as well be 1979 all over again." Rolling Stone
"This is the real deal: a legendary music man, in brilliant form and shimmering presence, supported by a tight, terrific band. When you can catch a show, go. An evening with Roger Hodgson will raise your standards of concert-going." Huffington Post

"Last night I saw you at the Palais and was totally blown away.I have waited to see you live since 1970 when I first started listening to Supertramp. Your music has been with me through my teen years, the birth of my children and for many of my life events. Each song holds different memories. Seeing you live I was thrilled by the passion that you bring to life in each of those songs. I had tears running down my face at one point with such sheer delight. Thank you so much for your music past, present and future."
"This man is pure genius. He opened his concert with long way home and I instantly had tears streaming down my face. His voice, his passion I think is so much stronger now than back in the day of Supertramp. This concert was 2 hours of sheer delight."
"I have always loved your writing and you vocals, but I can not describe what a memorable night that was. Seeing you is way beyond a concert, the way you interact with the audience, the way you are a truly humble and genuine person made a night I will never forget. Thank you for a truly life altering night!"
