http://www.ashford.edu See how a high school dropout who worked in manual labor his whole life took a leap of faith to pursue his dream of working with children.

After enrolling at Ashford University at age 47, Eddie Henderson went from working as a drywall laborer to a paraeducator -- a move inspired by one of his daughters, who has a rare genetic disorder called velo-cardio-facial syndrome.

"This [career path] is something that I actually have a future in, that I can have a peace of mind with."
