This is a simple way to create an adapter that lets you use your data cable with car chargers and still use their full charging potential. You can cut charging times on your phone by half!
Note that you can actually do the tweak on the data cable itself, but this let's you keep the data cable properties and just use the adapter in the car or on chargers that don't have the data lines shorted.
