One of the greatest movies ever made about filmmaking, I highly recommend Richard Rush's The Stuntman (1980). Starring Peter O'Toole as the arrogant movie director Eli Cross. Funny, dramatic, sad and hyper-actively paranoid.

In this scene, Eli Cross reveals his thematic reasons for stringing along the fugitive-from-justice-turned-stuntman Cameron (played by Steve Railsback).

If you have the opportunity to rent it on Netflix or purchase your own copy through Amazon, do so. It's also now available on blu-ray. Find out more at the movie's official site: http://thestuntman.com/
