Requiem for Aleppo - premiering at Sadler's Wells Theatre, London on 23rd April, 2017 at 7.30pm.
A non-political expression of solidarity for the people of Syria. Created and Composed by David Cazalet, choreography by Jason Mabana and featuring Juliana Yazbeck, this new production brings together 12 dancers from around the world. The original music is a combination of Requiem Mass lyrics set to choral music, Arabic poetry from the 11th, 12th and 13th centuries and real-life stories of people from Aleppo.
The aim of Requiem for Aleppo is to raise funds and awareness for the people of Syria. As such, we have partnered with two organisations doing incredible work for Syrians in need; Syria Relief Charity and Techfugees.
We are donating all ticket money from the premiere to these organisations and will be collecting donations online and via text during the live-stream of the performance via a JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraisin...
The money we raise will be used Syria Relief and Techfugees to support displaced Syrians.
We hope you enjoy the show and are inspired to donate towards a brighter future for the Syrian people. Thank you.
