The Advanced Technology Academy (ATA) trains qualified low-income 18- to 21-year-old unemployed high school graduates. Students take coursework through ATA at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) to earn a nationally recognized certificate in a hands-on occupation, such as welding, machining, auto repair, construction or culinary arts. At the end of the training, students complete a paid internship (up to 100 hours) with a local employer with a potential for placement. The skills gained in this training are in demand with several local companies, and job placement assistance is available.
