There's several things going on in this video. First, the box is something I built to allow me to quickly hook things up to all 18 of the Makey Makey inputs. The binding posts take bare wire, banana clips, or alligator clips.

Inside the box, the Makey Makey is attached to a Raspberry Pi, using the default Debian install.

I modified the Makey Makey sketch to turn all 18 inputs into letter keys on the keyboard, using instructions available from http://www.sparkfun.com/tutorials/388
I did this to make the Raspberry Pi scripting more straightforward.
