Here's Patrick Murphy -- co-curator of Life Vividly Lived, Pt. 2 -- sharing his thoughts on the second artists' residency on Inish Turk Beg.

An inspiring array of talent came together for our 2010 Residency. The artists lived together on the island, and the work to be exhibited in March next year will be infused with the spirit of Life Vividly Lived that pervades our world.

Inishturkbeg is an island off the coast of County Mayo in Clew Bay, with glorious 360 degree views with only the natural curvature of the earth interrupting the view to the west.
The energy of the island leads to a passion to do everything with a bit of a tilt! This is seen in all the Inish Turk Beg brand projects: Artisan food, Maiden Voyage Inish Turk Beg single malt whiskey, a stud farm and the Brilliant Irish Flute series. The island also has several houses that have been exquisitely designed and decorated and are available for corporate or leisure stays; water sports, fishing, horse riding, ball games, target practice, clay pigeon shooting, animal husbandry, swimming, arts and crafts, day trips off the island and simply soaking in the atmosphere with long walks around the island are just some of the activities available to keep you entertained.
