The school wouldn't agree to release the tapes unless I cut out about 4 minutes of material. Only one of the things they wanted cut was really funny, the rest was just the sort of stuff that school administrators *really* don't want to touch, I guess. Specifically HIV statistics and also an anti-military joke. Also certain student harassment sections had to be cut, which is reasonable and not a huge loss. Lastly, I cut about 10 minutes of dead air where I'm just staring at my phone or my papers like a MK Ultra shooter about to go active. Asperger's kid staring at wood grain and paper pulp texture while pissing his pants.

BIG thank you to these fine students. A handful were upset enough to walk out ...including the head of campus LGBT association I'm told, for real no joke... but for the most part people stayed and guiltily laughed at the things you're not supposed to laugh at. Even at an art school, many young people tacitly know what's going on--they just need a signal that it's OK to talk about.
