Former CBS News correspondent Terry Phillips reports stories from around the world and across the United States. Some samples include: the food crisis in Russia; humanitarian aid being delivered to Bosnia; the civil war in Afghanistan; a profile of Michigan farmer Jim Nichols (brother of convicted Oklahoma City bomber Terry Nichols); and a humorous look at Kremlin politics.
Phillips is a veteran war correspondent. In addition to his work for CBS, he has also covered major stories for NPR and NBC News...traveling throughout the Soviet Union, as well as Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Prior to working overseas, Phillips practiced his trade in the San Francisco Bay Area as a broadcast producer and reporter. His work from coast-to-coast has earned him numerous professional honors.
Back in his native California, Phillips anchored the "Quality of Life" interview/call-in program on NPR stations in the Central Valley.
