A sneak peek at the sixth show of the Hunger Artists Theatre Company's 2008 season, a world premiere adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's classic set of stories "The Jungle Book".
"Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book" centers around Mowgli, a man cub who is abandoned in an Indian jungle and raised by wolves. Along the way he is mentored by a panther, kidnapped by monkeys, befriended by a bear and threatened by a vicious tiger. But when its time for Mowgli to return to the human village, is he able to adjust to a completely different set of rules? This world premiere adaptation was penned by Leonard Joseph Dunham and directed by Glendele Way-Agle ("The Vagina Monologues", "The Full Monty", "Much Ado About Nothing"). The cast includes Company Members Christina Acero, Julie Ackerman, Mark Coleman, Anthony Galleran, Oscar Martinez, Sheldon Robert Morley, Parker Morrison, Tony Swagler, Maile Walker and Glenda Wright, as well as return performer Zen Josey and newcomer David Yu.
