What is the ICD (International Classification of Diseases) and how does it affect transgender people in African countries?
From 28-30 September 2015 Iranti-org in partnership with Gender Dynamix and GATE (Global Action for Trans* Equality) hosted a regional conference on the ICD (International Classification of Diseases) with trans* activists from twelve African countries.
The aim of the conference was to create a collaborative space for engagement on developing an African advocacy strategy on ICD revision through discussions, expert presentations and group work.
