Full story:

The San Francisco Giants beat the Detroit Tigers 4-3 in 10 innings on Sunday, to complete a four-game sweep and be crowned World Series champions for the second time in three years.

Giants' manager Bruce Bochy speaks of his admiration for his players.

[Bruce Bochy, San Francisco Giants Manager]:
"I couldn't be prouder of these guys and to be World Champions in two out of the last three years it's amazing. I know how difficult it is to get here and I couldn't be prouder."

Slugger Pablo Sandoval slammed three home runs in Game One for the Giants, and was voted the Series most valuable player.

[Pablo Sandoval, San Francisco Giants Slugger]:
"You know, I don't know man, I still can't believe that game, it's one of those games of your dreams and you don't want to wake up."

Pitcher Matt Cain spoke about the importance of teamwork in the Giants' success.

[Matt Cain, Giants Pitcher]:
"A lot of guys are loose and relaxed and it just seemed like all the pieces fit together, a lot of us kind of have the same mentality about the game, you know nobody really stood out and wanted to, you know, steal the spotlight and I think that's what helped us and benefitted us was to be able to, be able to work together and guys stepped up big you know when other guys maybe weren't performing and that was helpful."

The Giants closed out the season in ruthless fashion, reeling off seven consecutive wins to secure their seventh world championship.
