Taste: Purple/black in color with brooding black fruits, tar, and licorice. Deeper notes of black currant and plums show on the palate aside milk chocolate oak nuances. Luscious, dense, and fleshy, this wine is nicely balanced with a lingering finish.
Cameron Confidential: We were approached a while back by some folks who had noticed what we had been doing through their sales manager here in the US about 3 years ago. We were impressed with their wines and sent winemaker John down there to raid the winery and put some blends together. The blend is this fantastic Meritage—super smooth and approachable, it's a ridiculously inexpensive everyday drinking wine. This wine will continue to improve. Reason: We added a big dollop of black-as- squid-ink Carmenere that scored 90 points as a stand-alone under their own brand. An incredible deal.
