Capitol Hill’s In Motion program is a recent evolution of the Individualized Marketing approach used by King County, Washington State, USA.

This case study was awarded the Tools of Change Landmark designation for the use of social marketing to change travel behaviors in 2017 (active transportation program/ sustainable transportation / transportation demand management). Designation as a Landmark (best practice) case study through this peer-selection process recognizes programs and social marketing approaches considered to be among the most successful in the world, based on impact, innovation, replicability and adaptability.
