Hands Up Incentives http://www.handsupincentives.com/ gives companies an opportunity to reward their staff and at the same time make a difference to the lives of people that are less fortunate.
The trips combine the benefits of incentive travel with time spent volunteering. In this way, the employees can develop a real sense for the destination and feel good about what they have achieved in their time away.
This video offers a snapshot of what your employees may see, experience and take back from their time volunteering. It tells the story of a software reseller that took 37 employees to Cambodia on a 10 day incentive trip, of which 2 days were spent volunteering at a school.
There was still plenty of time to partake of the normal incentive activities, and to relax at the bar. Let's face it, the pool overlooking the ocean at the Six Senses is a fantastic place to hang out and socialize, but the most memorable part of the trip for all respondents was the time spent interacting with the children at the volunteering school.
It gave them an opportunity to develop a common bond with the people they normally just share an office with. These experiences are not just skin deep. To know that you have brought something positive to the lives of struggling students and to have the opportunity to actually be there and watch them enjoy it, rather than just donating money, is priceless.
