On the album "We're Only In It For The Money" Zappa for comedic effect he recorded the vocals on certain tracks slowed down so when played back at the correct speed it would give the impression that the vocalist was on helium. I used Nero Wave Editor to shift the pitch downward while keeping the tempo of the music correct to give the impression of what the music would have sounded like if this had not have been done. Keep in mind that by doing this the instruments are now slightly flat since some, but not all are off pitch. I also only pitch shifted the parts that needed it while preserving the rest.
Keep in mind it is not possible to do this with all the pitched up songs on the album and get decent results as he would sometimes harmonize different speeds together, so no matter what you do, one of the vocals would be way too deep.
