This modern take on a Christmas roulade is a crowd pleaser and a great way to make use of chestnuts, which are in season over the Christmas period

Ingredients

5 egg whites
275g caster sugar
40g dark chocolate finely grated

For the filling
300ml whipping cream
250g cooked, peeled chestnuts
100g dark chocolate
25g caster sugar

To decorate
1 tsp icing sugar
1 tsp cocoa powder
