A oil well with an American 228-246-86 pumpjack running on a Ford 300 motor. This well has parted rods as can be seen by the extremely heavy counterweights. A pumper arriving on location can normally tell if a well has parted rods quickly by looking at the cranks of the pumping unit. The cranks will typically be in the six o'clock position.
