Telecom Innovation or Disruption? How DC Startups Impact the Industry

Two months ago, Jeff Bonforte, CEO of San Francisco-based Xobni, rocked the house at the TelecomHUB with his Left-Coast perspective on the telecom industry and early stage companies. Silicon Valley is still seen as the startup capital, but the DC area continues to reinvent itself as more than just the seat of politics and home of lobbyists. A website for local startups, Proudly Made in DC, states, "We're a thriving community of entrepreneurs, engineers, developers, designers, and technologists working hard to make the next big thing".

@ David J. Steinberg, CEO, SnappCloud - David has over 30 years of high technology leadership experience in DC and Silicon Valley. He recently sold the company he led as CEO, SwapDrive, to Symantec for $124M - an eleven times return on investment. David serves as an advisor to Core Capital Partners, a Washington, DC based venture capital firm. SnappCloud is a technology company that designs, builds, and operates branded app stores for leading device makers and distributors.

Over the past eleven years, he has led the company through its various growth stages.
