If you didn't watch the latest matches between the Bruins and the Canadiens...you only saw the "punch" of the whole story. Chara and Pacioretty have a little history from earlier this season. Chara said: "...I had no idea he was on the ice, I didn't know it was him..." But we (those who watched the latest matches) all know Chara was looking for Paciorrety since he got a little push from behind from Pacioretty after a goal from the Canadiens. It took a few minutes to calm down Chara who was almost shoving the refs. This image you see speak for itself what was Chara's intention on the play. His glove is in Pacioretty's face making sure he couldn't avoid the red post after being twisted and then pushed. I think Chara was the first to be surprised how hard the collision was. We can see his reaction just after he succeeded a little too much. You can see he already regrets, but It's too late, he broke his neck. He had revenge in his mind. I believe it wasn't planned but he got the best occasion and he acted in a compulsive way. And now, he wants us to think he didn't push him on the post on purpose. Anyway, this picture makes it clear. Take a look also to the replay of the camera that was on the same side of the hit. You see Chara twisting Pacioretty with his arm, then pushed him and maintained his arm up high in Pacioretty's face. A well achieved 3-step move... Please comment! What do you think?
