Are you or someone you know a hero for animals? Kind Traveler was on the red carpet at last year's Animal Hero Kids Awards in Los Angeles. This year, the non-profit, all-volunteer, group is once again looking to recognize groups or individuals up to 19 years of age who have demonstrated extraordinary acts of kindness to help animals.

The winners of this nomination call will be recognized at the Los Angeles Animal Hero Kids Awards Show taking place this December 2nd, 2014.

Categories include: the Paul McCartney Young Veg Advocate Award, for promoting plant-based food choices; the Russell Simmons Creative Award, for a song, dance, poem, speech, rap, video, or artwork that inspires compassion toward animals; the Ricky Williams Award, for a courageous teen who rescued an animal in need; and the Kind to All Award, for helping multiple species of animals.

To nominate an animal hero, go online to animalherokids.org.

Animal Hero Kids, an all-volunteer organization, inspires, encourages and recognizes compassionate youth and has provided free humane education programs for 32 years.
