http://www.lcra.org This aerial video shows the effects of the current drought in Central Texas. The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) shot this footage over lakes Travis and Buchanan, which are the water reservoirs for the entire basin. The lakes were 35 percent full at the time the video was made. Without more rain, the current Central Texas drought may surpass the drought of the 1940s and 50s as the worst in recorded history for the area.
