May 4th-11th is Global Action Week. Global Action Week is an international focal point for education with events taking place in over 100 countries highlighting the importance of education for all. With this week, GCE chapters around the world work to raise awareness and create political will through advocacy to ensure that all children around the world have access to education. Advocacy is a critical component to advancing the global conversation for girls' education.
Join Girls' Globe, Global Campaign for Education (US Chapter) and +GenYNot to discuss how young women in the United States are on the front- lines advocating for education.
This public discussion, moderated by Girls' Globe's Diane Fender will explore critical components related to girls' education and advocacy. This will be a unique opportunity to hear from young women in the United States who are working at a local, national and global level to advance the global conversation for education. Chat participants include:
Jamira Burley, Co-Founder of GenYNot, GEFI-YAG Connie Vargas, Global Campaign for Education, United States Chapter Vivian Onano, ONE Campaign Congressional District Leader, UNA-USA and Half the Sky Campus Ambassador
