(See introductory description to Dance Traditions of the Greeks of Anatolia upload) From the Erythraia or Cesme Peninsula west of Izmir / Smyrna, former Greek inhabitants of the village of Meli dance a type of Karsilamas that is close in format to an upbeat Zeybekiko. The accompanying song is "Aide Dimitrouila". Many of the inhabitants of Meli settled near the town of Megara in Attica where this footage was filmed for ERT TV in the early 1980s
