• Our first question comes from BabeeBlueOnTheTown. This is a fun up and coming Youtuber, click here for her channel. BabeeBlue asks, "Why do you think most Americans aren't ready for electrified cars even though we know the importance of fuel economy and alternative energy?" That's a great question. There are dozens of reasons, some of them are; people want very fast shortsighted payback periods of one to two years, people make assumptions that gas prices will remain low in the coming years and they don't understand the importance of energy insurance, they also don't make the link between their oil addiction and usage and wars, also, many people believe that plug-in hybrids stop moving after the initial battery charge has been depleted. The political parties aren't united in moving us away from oil. One party wants to solve our addiction to oil by finding more of it while the other party wants us to wean our oil addiction by actually using less of it.

• Jimbobubbadj asks, "What about the Prius?" The Prius is a great car, but to me it's a gas guzzler and the Volt is much more enjoyable to drive. I didn't want to use four times more gas each year or an extra 225 gallons per year with the Prius. My goal has always been to use the least amount of oil possible with no range anxiety. An extra 2,000 gallons of gas, over eight to nine years, adds up. That's an extra $8,000 in fuel for the Prius if gas is only $4 per gallon. The Volt was the best energy insurance policy for me. I'm getting 355 miles per gallon, I just can't get that in a Prius.
