I got a bit of a problem with my MSI GT70 ONE-611NE (from manufacturer tag). Model name: MS-1762 (from BIOS). Running on Win 8 64bit Norwegian.
Short story I have slow "upload speed". This applies both to internet and on my local LAN.

If I try to test my internet connection I get 70 mb down and only 0,3 up and it takes forever o to the upload test. If I try to copy a file to my NAS it takes a really long time to copy "only" 100 mb.

As I have no problems with either LAN or internet with any other computer there must be a problem with my GT70.
Reading the MSI forum I have now tried updated the driver of my Qualcomm Killer e2200 Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30). I have tried the latest driver from MSI and the "special" driver recommended in the MSI forum. http://forum-en.msi.com/
I am currently using the driver 25.07.2012 version
I have also tried "killing" the e2200 software only running with the driver, but this doesn't help either.
I also form time to time (actually quite often when I think about it) get a Blue Screen as mentioned on he MSI forum.

I found a workaround by buying an Ethernet USB adapter and everything works just fine....
So I am quite sure there is something wrong with the Killer e2200 Ethernet controller.
But is it at hardware or software problem?

Other statistics for my PC is:
BIOS Version: E1762IMS.50N
EC Version 1762EMS1 Ver 5.03

Trying to get an answer on the MSI forum I basically got his answer: "There's got to be more to it than what you're telling us, somehow. Although, I'm just not sure what."

So I made his video. Sorry for the bad quality but it shows that I am trying to run a speed test with the on board Qualcom Killer e2200 network contact and the upload speed is so slow that the test actually fails! Switching to a USB adapter the test runs just fine.

Well after all the problems i have had with two MSI GT laptops especially with Windows 8 I have finally found an answer: I am buying an ASUS G75 hoping they have fixed the "num lock" problems for key binding in games.

The reason is simple MSI make computers that should be great but they can't make them work properly especially problems with drivers and software.
You relay should not need to go to forums for downloads updates, workarounds, special drivers, asf.... just to get a computer to work.
I thought Win 8 Metro was totally crap and didn't work well at all, but MSI shipped their laptops with a "bug" making lots of metro apps non functional. This is just an example of things you have to fix yourselves.

After using a ASUS Zenbook with the same programs and Win 8 as on my MSI I have never gotten a blue screen and it works flawless.

If anyone knows how to fix the problem with the Killer e2200 network drop me a line as I am giving the MSI GT70 to my wife.
