Jetty is a male California sea lion pup who was rescued in Morro Bay Harbor in San Luis Obispo County and admitted to The Marine Mammal Center in December 2008. After treatment he was released back into the wild but re-stranded again several times, often found surrounded by people. He was moved to the Mystic Aquarium along with two female pups from SeaWorld San Diego, Cali and Sakari in May 2009. While Jetty was later moved to the Marine Theater where he lives with Coco, Surfer, and Boomerang, Cali and Sakari reside at the Marine Mammal Observatory exhibit.
Like Boomerang, Jetty is very interactive towards guests and gets very attracted towards stuffed animals and shiny objects.
As of 2009, Jetty is unreleasable and will remain in human care for the rest of his life.
