Ground-to-sea and ship-to-ship firings of MBDA’s Exocet MM40 Block 3 missile.
The Exocet MM40 Block 3 weapon system is the latest generation ship borne variant within the Exocet family. The system is recognised worldwide as the benchmark for anti-ship missile capability and effectiveness and is currently in service with several navies around the world.
Exocet MM40 Block 3 provides very long range capability (up to 200km) in all weather conditions and at low altitude, enabling it to engage with all classes of warship. It possesses a high hit probability, even against moving targets and benefits from littoral and coastal land attack capabilities. In addition, Exocet MM40 Block 3 enjoys outstanding penetration capability against enemy air defences as well as the high flexibility to cope with complex attack scenarios.
The missile’s new navigation and propulsion package allows for the programming of 3D way-points, optimised trajectories and simultaneous terminal attacks of multiple missiles. Exocet MM40 Block 3 is combat proven, deployable in adverse weather conditions and is compatible with existing Exocet MM40 assets. Its launching system is interoperable with all MM40 versions, thus enabling a smooth transition to the latest upgrade and is versatile enough for installation of a wide range of naval platforms.
