This solitary bee [Megachile genus, species unknown] constructed her nest of tiny sawed off leaves in one of the bores in our 'bee hut' observation station on Algonquin Island, Toronto Islands. I watched and listened (with a tiny vibrational sensor) to her manipulating the leaves as she constructed the nest at various points in late Summer - alas, no camera present at those times!
