This solitary bee [Megachile genus, species unknown] constructed her nest of tiny sawed off leaves in one of the bores in our 'bee hut' observation station on Algonquin Island, Toronto Islands. I watched and listened (with a tiny vibrational sensor) to her manipulating the leaves as she constructed the nest at various points in late Summer - alas, no camera present at those times! See other videos on this channel, and details at resonatingbodies.wordpress.com, under 'nest wall' (2009 - 2010). -- Sarah Peebles (video by Kevin Steele). see channel Profile.
