The Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD) System provides power to the wheels that need it, when they need it. The Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system instantly adapts to the changing conditions of the road by constantly monitoring wheel spin, throttle position, and vehicle speed.
This system will divert up to 50% of the available power to the front wheels to enhance traction.
If the AWD light is illuminated, there may be a malfunction in the Intelligent AWD system. Reduce vehicle speed and have your vehicle checked by an INFINITI retailer as soon as possible.
The warning light may also blink rapidly (about twice per second) while trying to free a stuck vehicle due to high powertrain oil temperature. The driving mode may change to two-wheel drive.
If the warning light blinks rapidly during operation, stop the vehicle with the engine idling in a safe place. Then if the light goes off, you can continue driving.
