With the mission of helping as many people as he can, Camp Fire survivor and Paradise singer-songwriter penned a song about his journey through the deadliest wildfire in California’s modern history. It’s a song that, since it’s release, has offered healing and hope to those who’ve listened, and Tzu Chi USA is proud to present you the official music video to this incredible work of art.

“We couldn’t have done this incredible video without [Tzu Chi], and my heart has been so touched by their selfless generosity… We want to help as many people as we can, and we thank you so much for your support. God Bless Paradise! ” -Skip Culton

LYRICS
It’s hard to say what these trees mean to me
When I can taste the mountain air every time I breathe
When I remember the Covered Bridge and the faces I see
My heart always goes home to Paradise

Lookout Point is where I went to pray to Jesus
And the duck pond was my place to go and think
Now I look around and say man I can’t believe this
There’s a million unknowns as my heart begins to sink

And I thank God that I escaped with my life
And that my family and my friends are all alright
When I remember how the day turned into night
I say another prayer, for Paradise

Paradise, you were everything to me
Paradise, the wind singin’ through your trees
Paradise, where my heart will always be
I’ll always be at home in Paradise

The aftermath was more than we imagined
But so was the help we got from those who cared (thank you)
As I think about this town that’s now abandoned
All I know is I can’t wait to get back there

‘cause every time I where those clothes you gave to me
I learn a little more about myself and life’s mysteries
And when I close my eyes and rest my head at night
I say another prayer, for Paradise

Paradise, you were everything to me
Paradise, the wind singin’ through your trees
Paradise, where my heart will always be
I’ll always be at home in Paradise
Oh you’ll never be alone in Paradise
Oh let’s say another prayer, for Paradise
