Getting fired up about legacy may take some effort, but your family and friends will be eternally grateful. Learn about legacy which is the YOU that you leave behind – your wisdom, your values and especially your stories. Join the movement to share a story today. If everyone who watches this TED Talk records and shares just one story each week, perhaps journalists wouldn’t have time to report about hate and fear because their broadcasts and articles would be full of your magnificent human stories.

Ann Ranson is president of Bottom Line 3 Marketing, a socially conscious enterprise with two divisions: Intentions Work offering legacy coaching and life plan development services and By the Grace of Tea, a gourmet tea company. Ann spent 30+ years in the rough-and-tumble media world before training as a life and business coach and strategist. She’s always had a passion for the elders in our society and was one of the few kids who liked hearing their stories. Now she encourages everyone to share their stories.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
