Doane Professor Brad Elder walks through how to make mosquito netting with the base material created in the first video in the TB2HB video series. His goal is to educate people how to make their own mosquito netting in countries where malaria kills millions of people each year. This latest video shows how to make the netting using a sewing machine. Previous tools required large amounts of heat or electricity. But with the use of a treadle sewing machine, villages will be able to make this netting where little to no electricity exists or where heating sources are limited.
