http://www.autobytel.com/hyundai/gene... Autobytel recently met with Ricky Lao, Product Manager for Hyundai Motor America. Ricky was gracious enough to give us a walkaround car review of the newly refreshed 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe.

The redesigned 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe now produces over 270 horsepower and 275 lb-ft. of torque from the 2.0 liter turbocharged motor thanks to a more efficient inter cooler and a twin scroll turbocharger that increases output without sacrificing fuel economy. Not to be outdone by the entry level motor, the big 3.8 liter V-6 powered Genesis Coupe now features go fast goodies like direct injection that helps boost output to 348 horsepower and 295 lb-ft. of torque, a 42 horsepower gain over the previous version. You get the best of both worlds with increased fuel economy to go along with the bump in power. Both engines are available with the first ever in-class 8-speed automatic transmission or the 6-speed manual.

One of the key goals with the 2013 refresh was to create a bold exciting look for the Genesis Coupe. Hyundai focused on the front face of the vehicle by adopting a bumper with a larger opening. The higher trim levels benefit from HID headlights with LED running lights. The hood lines are more aggressive to showcase a bolder statement for this vehicle. Out back LED tail lamps are standard on all Genesis Coupe models. Hyundai has retained the strong dynamic look of the rear along with the dual exhaust. With the 3.8 track edition you get huge 19-inch wheels with a gunmetal finish along with 4-piston Brembo brakes to enhance the braking performance.

On the inside the interior has been updated to give a more premium and dynamic feel. The center stack has been redesigned soft touch materials and double stitching. Analog gauges are standard and include either a torque meter or boost gauge depending on the model. The trim is piano black and the buttons have chrome accent pieces that add to the premium feel. An electroluminescent gauge cluster looks spectacular. The large navigation screen finishes off a wonderfully updated interior.

Thanks to Ricky Lao and Hyundai Motor America for the up-close and personal look at the refreshed 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe.
