Not everyone is in bondage to sin anymore and the reason why is because they choose to live by Jesus. They choose to stand right by Him, and the Lord Jesus gives them an out from sin. He gives them the power of His Spirit and they choose to live in the POWER of the Holy Spirit and not by the desires of their flesh anymore. The devil has been very crafty in teaching people that you can continue to sin and you will get to heaven. He teaches people even in the churches, and the people in the churches have even let this lie infiltrate. Not just people in the secular world believe that they can get to heaven and be in sin, but people in the churches believe that you can continue in sin and that you will always sin but you are on your way to heaven. They quote one verse to try to prove their lies to you. And the verse is 1 John Chapter 1 vs. 8. They say. "If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us." And they say; "Look, the Bible says that we have to keep on sinning because if we say we have no sin then we are liars, so see, we have to continue in sin." They take the verse out of context. If you read the next it says this; "If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness." To confess that we were in sin and to repent does NOT mean to continue to just confess and live in sin. Would that work with your wife? If you said to your wife; "I am sleeping with a prostitute, but I'll just tell you every day, I'll confess with my mouth that I'm sleeping with a prostitute, would that work with your wife? Tomorrow I'll sleep with a prostitute too, but as long as I confess, forgive me." If you don't think that would work with your wife, if that wouldn't go over well with her, why do you think that would go over well with a living holy pure GOD? It is also written by the apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians chapter 6. "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do NOT be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor partiers (revilers) nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God." And then he says this; "And such WERE some of you. BUT you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God." Paul says; "You WERE these people, but you have been changed by the Power of the SPIRIT." Have you truly been changed by the power of the Holy Spirit that comes from Jesus? Because if you have you no longer will have these bonds of sin, no longer will you be in these sins, but you will be living in holiness and righteousness, you won't be continuing to sin. If you are continuing to sin, you don't know Jesus, because Jesus will give you and out. As I is written; "I can do all things through Christ who gives me the strength." Cry out to Jesus, HE will give you and out, HE is the one who can lead you out of sin. May the grace of Jesus be with you.
