http://youtubevideomarketingstrategie... If you've been wondering why you are losing Youtube views or why you don't see all the updates for the channels you've subscribed to, this is why. Youtube implemented a stupid and unnecessary feature called 'highlights' which acts as a filter. It hides a large number of recent activity from your feed. And you wouldn't know about it because Google implemented it without bothering to tell anyone; this is another one of their grand stealth changes to Youtube.

First they killed our Related Video feeds and deleted all the subcategories for videos, and now this. It's like they don't want us small Partners to succeed anymore. Meanwhile enjoy being spammed by movie trailers and music videos!

By the way, Facebook did this crap to your friend pages, too. If you click on the 'Subscribe' button for a friend and then go to the 'Settings' option in the menu you'll see it is hiding a good portion of the status updates of your friends. This seems to be the latest unnecessary trend in the social media world -- hiding information you said you wanted to see.

I'm sorry, I love Youtube but Google didn't invent Youtube and the changes they have made feel like the typical Google nonsense. The new design is half good and half bad, and they have made it harder for someone with a camera, a computer and a passion to break into the industry because they are hiding our content from search results based on the views they receive and now even our subscribers can't see all our status updates.
