The National Air and Space Museum's Caudron G.4 is one of only two in existence in the world. It is one of the oldest bomber aircraft and one of the oldest objects in the Smithsonian aeronautical collection. Curator Peter Jakab describes the history of this unique aircraft and restoration specialist Karl Heinzel gives insight into the condition & preservation techniques, as well as his own artistry, that went into restoring & preserving this aircraft.
