Suzen Pettit from Omaginarium gives 7 sure fire strategies for list building and getting qualified leads coming through your website.

Step #1: Identify your niche. The narrower the better. I know this can be scary, but try it and you'll see how quickly your niche will move towards you and your services, as you are positioning yourself as an expert in their specific field. For instance, I have narrowed my niche recently from doctors (general and wide) to integrative health practitioners, such as chiropractors, naturopaths, holistic heath care providers, etc. so let's use a chiropractor for an example.

Step #2: Talk to the pain-literally- back pain, joint pain, lethargy, etc. potential patients are having in all of your materials- on your website, in your blogs, in your articles, on your landing page, in your video's at your speaking engagements, in your networking groups. People identify emotionally when you spell out what they are having trouble with and this will peek their interest.

Step #3: Show - Speak to- how you are going to solve this for them. I'm not talking about your services, doctor. Rather, what the outcome will be once you've worked with them. For instance, if a chiropractor is having trouble (pain) filling his practice- he needs more patients in order to keep his practice running, it is up to the chiropractor, (or naturopath, or whatever holistic health practitioner you may be) to explain to the patients, or the potential patients, what the relief will be

Step #4: Make sure you are using keywords- words that potential patients would be entering into Google, or any of the search engines, to find his services, such as "back pain", or a long tailed good keyword for this : "relief from back pain" etc. Use these keywords all throughout your website and blogs.

Step #5: Awaken the desire for your solution. Why should this patient come to you when there are so many other chiropractors out there? What sets you apart? Identify that and make it known to the world!

Step #6: Make sure you have an "opt-in" box in a very obvious spot on your website, so that you can be capturing potential patients emails...to grow your list!! They came to your website for a reason, and even though they may not call the office first thing the next morning, if you are capturing their emails then you know they came and did this voluntarily; they wanted information or else they wouldn't be there. But why should they give you their email address? What's in it for them besides yet more "junk in their box", and I don't mean that in a sexy way. Seriously, why should they give you their e mail address? Because

Step #7: You are making them an irresistible offer that they really want to know more about. A gift, from you to them, with no strings attached, just an even exchange: their name and email address in exchange for something that might help them right now. For example: a free report on ways to relieve severe back pain prior to going to the doctor, or a holistic home remedy for relieving bad headaches. Or your newsletter which offers great tips on all sorts of health issues that relate to them. This should be something downloadable that they can get their hands on quickly and read (unless it's a monthly newsletter. You get the picture. Now you have a qualified, interested patient who you are establishing a relationship with and whom you'll now continue to be in touch with, through email...because they have given you permission to do so.
