Voltaj live at Ion Creanga Theatre sometime in 1989 in Bucharest, Romania. Here is one of the very few video recordings from the old communist regime (dictator Ceausescu) when rock music was almost banned becose it was sinonimous with liberty and freedom of expresion. Like many other concerts at the time this gig was advertised "discret" with only 10-12 posters in certain places. In 1986-1992 Doru "M.S." Istudor was the leader of the band and some of his friends joined him later at M.S.: Cristi Luca, Cristi Marinescu, Sandu Costica.
Alerg was originally recorded by Voltaj in 1987 (Bogdan Cristea-vc, Marinescu, Amedeo, Mateescu, Istudor) with private means (not being allowed to do it in a professional studio owned all by the State communist regime) and re-recorded in 2000 by M.S. for the album Rugina nu moare. It is considered by many to be the first speed metal track recorded in Romania and it became a big undergound hit at the time.
Nori de hirtie by Adrian Ilie (the founder father of this band); Alerg by Doru Istudor.
Performed here by: Cristi Ilie - lead vocals, Gabi Constantin - lead guitar, Vladimir Negoescu - lead guitar, Valeriu Ionescu - bass guitar, Doru Istudor - drums.
Shot by Chinie Madalin (Thanks man!)
