This region gave birth to many languages one of which is Urdu, that holds a special place in literature. There are some organizations in America that are working for the protection and advancement of Urdu and among those the Aligarh Alumni Association is one of the highly respected ones and has kept the tradition of Urdu poetry recitation alive in America for over three decades.
