The entire six episode run of Mina and the Count. Created by Rob Renzetti (Two Stupid Dogs, My Life As A Teenage Robot, Gravity Falls) the series details the misadventures of a vampire who accidentally befriends a small girl named Mina. Originally broadcast on "What A Cartoon" on Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon later commissioned five more shorts for the characters. Rob Renezetti was really interested in creating an actual show for the series, but Nickelodeon wasn't. He would later rework what was supposed to be the seventh short into the pilot for MLAATR. The rest is history.
Despite having a very short run, Mina and the Count still has something of a cult following. Is it any wonder why? This is probably one of the cutest cartoons ever produced. The series is presented in this collection in chronological order, rather than by air date. If you pay close attention, you'll see how that works.
Episode List:
01 - "Interlude with a Vampire" - The Count stalks the night, hunting for his next victim. Things get out of hand when he realizes a simple spelling error Igor made caused him to go after the wrong girl, and now he was to play with her or risk blowing his cover.
02 - "My Best Friend" - When Mina tells the story of how she met her new vampire friend at school, nobody believes her. Worse yet, a mean boy named Nick goes out of his way to start teasing her. Now, only the Count can teach Mina how to get back at him.
03 - "The Vampire Who Came to Dinner" - Mina invites the Count to come to her house for dinner. Things get out of hand when Mina's older sister, Lucy, develops a crush on him. Now, Mina and Lucy are competing for his attention, and the Count has no idea what to do.
04 - "Playing a Hunch" - Igor doesn't want the Count playing with that pesky "human girl" anymore. The Count tries his best to keep it a secret from him, but with Igor and Mina at his castle on the same day, he has trouble hiding the girl from him.
05 - "Frankenfrog" - Igor, now reluctantly accepting of his master's friendship with Mina, allows the toy to play together. The Count pretends to bring Mina's doll back to life ala Frankentstein. The next day, Mina uses the same method to revive a frog they dissected for biology class, which soon causes havoc at the school.
06 - "The Ghoul's Tribunal" - When the Count accidentally invites the other monsters to a card game the same day Mina is staying over, they discover the Count's friendship with Mina. Now, the Count must defend himself in a court of his fellow monsters.
