Get a guided tour on how to use the Cable Saver made by Bubblebee Industries to prevent cable noise and broken connectors. It is small, simple, helpful and ready to be used. Get it here: https://www.bubblebeeindustries.com/p...
When hiding lav microphones on talent, a large proportion of clothing noise occurs from materials rubbing, or the talent touching or brushing, against the cable. These vibrations are transported directly up the cable to the mic capsule.
In a recording studio, scaled up a bit, equivalent handling noise is stopped by fitting a shock mount.
The Cable Saver works like a shock mount for your Lav Mic, stopping vibrations from reaching your mic capsule, as well as providing strain relief. It makes cable management much easier and will save on costly repair costs, and retakes. Try it for yourself.
