Since 1997 over 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students’ lives have been touched by UT’s nationally acclaimed Intellectual Entrepreneurship Consortium (IE). As a direct result of its unique approach to learning (delivered via dozens of courses and internships), these IE alumni are living their passion, having gone on to successful careers in business, government, nonprofit organizations and academe. Joining UT’s Division of Diversity and Community Engagement (DDCE) in 2006, IE continues to challenge students to be “Happy” by discovering, owning and being accountable for their education and becoming “citizen-scholars” who leverage their knowledge for social good.
