Hasbro has updated its classic Battleship game to reflect the story of the upcoming Battleship movie. The Classic Battleship Movie Edition Game features similar gameplay but with navy ships and alien ships. Sink your opponent's fleet before he sinks yours. There are different ways to play the Classic Battleship Movie Edition Game. You can play the classic way by taking turns calling out one shot and trying to hit each other's ships.

There is also the Salvo Game variation. Players get as many shots on their turn as there are ships afloat in their fleet. Each player starts with five ships and five shots per turn. Each time one of your ships is sunk, you lose one shot on your next turn.

The Basic Special Ops Game features the search-and-destroy strategy of the classic game with movie-based cards that give you extra fire power. Set up the game as you would for a classic game. The navy player takes the blue card deck and the alien player takes the red card deck. On your turn, draw a card from your deck, follow the directions on it, and place it faceup in a discard pile beside your tray. The cards allow you to fire out complete columns of coordinates, fire as many shots as you have ships, or force your opponent to reveal un-hit coordinates. You can also collect four Com Tower cards to make all of your hits instant sink shots.

The Advanced Special Ops Game plays the same as the Basic Special Ops Game except that instead of drawing a card on every turn, you play with a hand of cards. You can either draw two cards from the deck and keep them, draw one card and play it, or play any two cards from your hand.

The game comes in two hard folding cases that make it easy to transport and store all of the pieces. Pieces include five navy ships, five alien ships, two decks of special ops cards, red and white pegs, rules, and a reference card. The game is for two players.
