Recent hype has it that this year's 3-day Perseid Meteor Shower event is going to be one to remember...

Night 1: The half moon and slightly hazy conditions made for only moderate viewing, but activity was better than usual for this meteor shower event.

These original 4K (UHD) Time lapse sequences (uploaded here in full 1080p HD) were made from over 2300 4K+ still frames shot with a Canon 5D Mk2 on the night of 8-11-2016/8-12-2016 from Santa Clarita, California.

The star trails are created using JCMDI proprietary compositing systems, using only real images of the night sky being added together - no CGI or other animation has been added.
